For 50 years the Norwin Art League has provided artistic
enrichment to the Norwin Community. What began years ago
as a simple club for avid painters has grown into one of
Westmoreland County’s leading cultural organizations.
Today many of our adult students participate in annual
competitions throughout the region and are recognized
for the quality of their work.
Your Norwin Art League is a substantial educational
organization which conducts dozens of classes and
workshops throughout the year. Classes range from oils,
acrylics and watercolor to fiber art, scrapbooking,
stamping and more. In addition, an open studio is held
weekly, where students can work on their own individual
projects in a relaxed, social environment .

Our year 'round classes attract students of all ages,
but are especially popular with retired and senior
citizens. These painting classes provide artistic
enrichment, self-worth and gratification to our older
students ... qualities of life that all too often
disappear as a person ages. Unfortunately, the rising
costs of art supplies, instruction, and facilities
threaten to make this beneficial program
cost-prohibitive to our fixed and lower income students.
(These participants comprise over half of our students).
Your Norwin Art League asks for your help. This is a
unique opportunity for you to support senior citizens,
as well as the arts, art education and cultural
enrichment in our local community. Your donation will
help us keep the cost of our programs affordable to all
participants.
