OIL PAINTING (STEP BY STEP)

Days:  Monday or Thursday
Times:  Monday – 6:30 – 9:30 pm; Thursday – 9:30 am – 12:30 pm
Fee: $18 per week/members, $23 per week/non-members.  Fee to be paid monthly.

OIL PAINTING (Students work on a painting of their choice)

Time:  Monday – 6:30 – 9:30 pm; Wednesday – 9:30 am – 12:30 pm
Fee: $18 per week/members, $23 per week/non-members.   Fee to be paid monthly.

Although step by step instruction will be given Monday evening, experience students may choose to work on a painting of their choice.  Students work on a painting of their choice on Wednesday morning.  Students should be able to start paintings on their own, including mixing the paint colors need for the painting.  Pre-registration is required.  The registration form can be found by clicking on the link (registration form), or by calling or emailing Pat Vaughn at 724.863.2456 / bobvon123@comcast.net.

WATERCOLOR CLASSES

Instructor:  TBD
Day:  Monday
Time:  10:00 am – 1:00 pm
Fee: $15 per week/members, $20 per week/non-members when instructor is available to teach.  $5 when there is an Open Class (see below)

The class will attempt to accommodate all levels of skills, beginner to seasoned artist!  Students will get photos, direct step by step instructions, along with written directions when possible.  When instructor is not available to teach, there will be an Open Class where students can paint something of their choice.  Use the class registration form to enroll.

WATERCOLOR PAINTING CLASSES

Instructor:  Tom Tholen
When:  March and April
Day:  Tuesday (see schedule below)
Time:  9:00 am – noon
Fee:  $90 for 6 classes
Material Fee:  $25 (includes paper and paint).  Checks for material should be made to Tom Tolen

Brushes will be available for purchase or students may borrow brushes from NAL, if available.  Schedule:

March 12 – Introduction to Watercolor (learn different techniques)
March 19 – Simple Painting
March 26 – Simple Painting continued
April 9 and 16 – Continued or a new painting may be started
April 23 – No Class
April 30 – Continued painting

New and additional classes plus open project work time, with experience instructor Tom Tholen, will be added to the Tuesday class after the watercolor classes are complete.
